The side plate features a traditional Japanese wave pattern, also known as ‘Seigaiha’, rendered in a rich indigo blue. This classic design element symbolises waves of good luck and the beauty of the sea.

Accentuating the wave motif, there are playful golden fish, which could be interpreted as koi, adding an element of playfulness and prosperity to the design.
