What is Yamashita?

Yamashita Kogei Inc., founded in 1987, is a respected manufacturer and wholesaler of bamboo and wooden products. Based in Beppu, Japan, they offer a diverse range of high-quality items domestically and internationally.

In addition to manufacturing, they also engage in crafts while researching CO2 storage of natural materials. Their philosophy, championed by representative Kenichiro Yamashita, emphasises blending tradition and modern beauty to align with current lifestyles.

Japanese potteries are hand made. It is normal to have imperfections such as pits, marks and uneven shapes.
